Children Will Listen

Continuing with the Disney/Non Disney Next Generation, I decided to focus on a few of the Live Action movies/remakes. Here's a picture of Rapunzel and the Prince (from Into the Woods) twin children. On the left with have their daughter Princess Gerda and on the right with have their son Prince Landric.

Princess Gerda's Story: Princess Gerda is the princess from "The Frog Prince" fairytale. One morning while out for her morning stroll in the garden Princess Gerda dropped her favorite crochet hook (given to her by her mother) into a nearby well. When she couldn't reach it, she started to cry. Nearby a small spotted green frog heard her and hopped next to her and asked her what was wrong. At first she was startled  but then she finally told him her dilemma, and he told her he would get her her crochet hook from the well and in exchange she would take him to her castle to live with her. At first she was reluctant but she finally agreed. During the first three nights in the castle Princess Gerda had shown the little frog kindness and compassion. On the 3rd night the little frog was exploring the castle when a chambermaid spotted him and horrified she grabbed a broom and whacked the frog until he was lifeless. Princess Gerda saw it and ran to the little frog crying. When she kissed him on his little forehead, the little frog suddenly turned into a handsome prince. The prince told that he had be cursed by a vengeful witch (the SAME one from "Into the Woods) for sneaking into her garden due to a dare.

Prince Landric's Story: Prince Landric is the prince from "The Little Mermaid" fairytale. Prince Landric has always loved the sea and exploring new places, so six days before his 17th birthday he asked his father if he could serve as representative to his kingdom into order to go out to other kingdoms to seek alliances. His father agreed and the very next morning he along with a small crew set sail to find new kingdoms and form new alliances. On the fifth day of their voyage, while celebrating his 17th birthday, a violent storm hits with heavy rain and winds. Prince Landric falls overboard while his ship sinks. He ALMOST drowns but is saved by a beautiful mermaid princess who was exploring the surface as a gift from her father the Mer King for her 15th birthday. The little mermaid take Prince Landric to shore and sings to him while keeping him company until a young noblewoman and her lady-in-waiting appears. The little mermaid quickly returns to the ocean and hides behind a rock while sadly watching the young noblewoman wake and help Prince Landric up. Determined to see the prince again the little mermaid decides to visit a Sea Hag in order to get a pair of legs. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?!?!?!?
